I try and connect with my inner child but it's been a while
on this road of life a drifter burnt so many miles

then looked up at the light like it was rare
then looked down at my scars like they wasn't there

Hope was still there breathed in like the air, he was going higher
walking on the skies no wire, he understood my hurt
but said despair was a liar then took my heart in his hands
and began to light a fire put it on lamp stand
